A Special Update!
We have been working diligently behind the scenes toward reopening our school for the 2027–2028 academic year. We are collaborating with several external professionals and educational experts to ensure that our new permit application is thorough, precise, and aligned with the Ministry of Education's requirements.
As part of this process, one of the recommendations we received was to change our school's name. This was not an easy decision. Faith Christian Academy has been more than just a name to us. It represents years of memories, friendships, prayers, challenges, and the wonderful students and families who have made our school what it is.
However, we were advised to adopt a more neutral and bilingual name as we move forward with our application.
After much thought, prayer, and discussion, we are pleased to introduce our new name:

Why Sequoia?
Our inspiration comes from the beautiful imagery of trees found throughout the Psalms, particularly Psalm 1:3:
"He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers." - Psalm 1:3
Sequoia trees are among the largest and longest-living trees in the world, with some living for more than 3,000 years. As we reflected on their characteristics, we realized how beautifully they represent the educational philosophy and values we have always held dear.
Longevity: Just as sequoia trees endure for thousands of years, we hope to build an educational legacy that will positively influence generations of students.
Growth: We believe education is about nurturing the whole child, encouraging intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual growth.
Strong Roots: Like a sequoia tree, we want our students to develop deep roots in strong values, faith, character, and solid educational foundations.
Resilience: Sequoia trees withstand difficult conditions and continue to grow. We want our students to develop the perseverance and courage to overcome life's challenges.
Community: Sequoia trees thrive in forests, supported by the environment around them. Likewise, we believe students flourish when surrounded by a loving, supportive community of teachers, families, and friends.
Aspiration: Just as these magnificent trees reach extraordinary heights, we want to encourage every student to discover their God-given potential and strive toward becoming the person they were created to be.
Although our name is changing, our heart, our faith, and our commitment to our students remain the same.
We believe that this new chapter is an opportunity to strengthen our foundations, learn from our experiences, and continue building something meaningful for our students and families.
